In 2008 we relocated to California from the Midwest. After renting for a short period of time we decided to begin looking for a home to purchase. We worked with an agent for about 15 months and did not have any luck. The houses we were being shown either needed too much work or were not within our price range. We were getting very discouraged. We decided to change things up a bit and call the listing agent on a home that we saw while out for a drive.
